AFAM is the umbrella that provides opportunities for everybody from Anambra State, Nigeria, to interact, socialize, and promote our culture. We are also part of a larger socio-cultural group, the Igbos.

Our children will also interact with their elders and learn this unique Igbo culture and language from them. They will also mingle with other Anambra kids and the Memphis population at large.

AFAM will also provide forums to reach out to other Anambra families and communities outside Memphis, within Tennessee and indeed all over America. In concert with other members of the community, we can join forces to build a better society here in Memphis.

AFAM will provide community services directly or indirectly through other non-profit or government organisations here in Memphis and its environs.
